The Foolish Villagers Tore Down My House After My DonationEpisode 3

Synopsis

Zhao Dong intended to donate one million yuan to build roads to help Liuji Village get rich by selling astragalus. However, he had conflicts with the villagers due to incidents such as his father being beaten and the road in front of his own house not being repaired. Liu Yingying claimed that Zhao Dong was suppressing prices for profit and united with the village head to try to replace him. In a fit of anger, Zhao Dong withdrew his investment. After the villagers drove him away, they encountered obstacles in selling astragalus. The purchaser Lin Hao, whom Liu Yingying contacted, turned out to be a fraud, and the astragalus froze at the entrance of the village. The village head and the villagers begged Zhao Dong for help, but Zhao Dong refused. Liu Yingying was also unable to solve the problem. Guo Cuilan's husband couldn't afford the surgery and passed away because the astragalus couldn't be sold. Although the villagers regretted it and begged Zhao Dong for help later, Zhao Dong was already disheartened and no longer offered assistance. In the end, the villagers finally tasted the bitter fruits of their own actions.
