Synopsis

In his previous life, He Zheng was persecuted by his ex-wife Su Xiwei and her lover Wang Yichen, who conspired to seize his wealth, leaving him to die in despair after contracting a serious illness. Reborn on the eve of his wedding, he no longer submitted to the exploitation of Su Xiwei's family and Wang Yichen, and began to fight back.Su Xiwei brought Wang Yichen and his child to live in the He family home, spending extravagantly. At an auction, in an attempt to curry favor with Wang Yichen, she recklessly engaged in competitive bidding ("lit the sky lantern") and allowed the child to break an antique, expecting He Zheng to foot the bill. However, he decisively froze her credit cards, plunging her into financial difficulty.Later, while preparing for the birthday celebration of Chen Yanran's daughter, He Zheng reunited with Chen and recalled memories of their past life. Su Xiwei, still delusionally hoping for He Zheng's return, caused a scene at the hotel and confronted Chen Yanran and her daughter. As the truth came to light, He Zheng's revenge began to take effect.
