When she finally got pregnant, she planned to surprise him—only to come home and find him in bed with his assistant Zhou Man, who was also pregnant.Devastated, Shen Yuan confronted them. Fu Chi was cold, calling it an accident. He even guilt-tripped her, saying she should be understanding since Zhou Man was now pregnant, and claimed Shen Yuan was too old to have children anyway.Heartbroken, she recalled their years together. For a moment, Fu Chi seemed moved—but Zhou Man suddenly complained of stomach pain. He immediately rushed to carry her away, pushing Shen Yuan aside.
