They Gave the Doomed Duke the Wrong BrideEpisode 1

Synopsis

Elira Ashbourne is a modern elite with a spatial ability who wakes up in the body of her ancestor—a despised illegitimate daughter forced into a death trap: a marriage to the disgraced Duke Vaelor. On her wedding night, the Duke’s estate is raided. While her new family panics, Elira uses her wits and her secret inventory space to loot the treasury, securing their survival. She transforms from a fragile substitute into the family's iron-fisted protector, leading her mother-in-law and young brother-in-law through a brutal exile to the frozen North. Hunted by assassins and political rivals, Elira fights off wolves, corrupt officials, and a treacherous cousin. But she isn't alone; the "missing" Duke Roderic is watching from the shadows, leaving her clues and waiting for the perfect moment to strike back. Together, they turn a suicide mission into a war for justice. From the icy wastes to the imperial throne, Elira is done being a pawn. She’s here to checkmate the King.
