Synopsis

Evelyn can see how many dates she will have with every person in the future. The number “7000” hovering above Carter, her childhood sweetheart and football star, once convinced her they were fated to fall in love. But after they started college, Carter abandoned her time and again for fame and fortune, crossed boundaries in an ambiguous relationship with Vanessa, and the number kept dwindling with each betrayal. Meanwhile, her new roommate Adrian, whom she had just met, bore the number “10000” over his head. He covered up Carter’s lies and quietly stood by Evelyn in her darkest moments, yet always kept his distance. On championship night, Carter publicly named Vanessa his girlfriend, and the final “1” dropped to zero. Evelyn finally kissed Adrian of her own accord. As for Carter, he only began frantically trying to win her back after losing the future they were supposed to share.
