EnglishEpisode 12

Synopsis

Gu Qianqian, the long-lost biological daughter of the capital’s Gu family, endured abuse in the countryside for seventeen years. She mastered reading people and careful maneuvering. After returning home, she appears gentle and docile, yet is shrewd and unforgiving. Using strategic retreats, she dismantles plots by the fake daughter Gu Wan’er and her allies. From framed calligraphy and painting to night raids, every trap backfires on her foes. She takes the betrothal of Shen Heng, the Crown Prince of Duan, for herself. Eventually, she seizes control of the Gu household, secures her position as the princess consort, and makes all who wronged her pay.
