The Skin Pact Across Two LivesEpisode 9

Synopsis

Eight hundred years ago, a captain of the Daqian Imperial Guard stopped at a remote inn while escorting military funds. There, he discovered that the two innkeeper sisters were using blood-red demon fungi to make flatbreads. They seduced passing men, then transformed them into donkeys and forced them into servitude. After seeing through their sorcery, he turned their own scheme against them. The sisters suffered the consequences of their evil deeds, becoming donkeys themselves and enduring a century of hard labor. Eight hundred years later, one of the demons returns wearing human skin and assumes the form of a breathtaking beauty. She finds the captain’s reincarnation, now a timid scholar, seduces him, and drains his life essence night after night. Though he grows weaker by the day, he remains completely under her spell and refuses to listen to his wife’s warnings. Only when a Taoist master arrives with a Bagua bronze mirror does the truth of their past lives begin to emerge. Faced with a deadly revenge spanning eight centuries, they must expose the monster beneath the beautiful human skin and finally sever the blood-soaked karma binding two lifetimes together.
