The Widow's GambitEpisode 2

Synopsis

On the night her fiancé Kevin died after cheating on her, Leila was sold off by her birth mother and rescued in public by her brother-in-law, Sean. She then assumed the role of a vulnerable orphan, carefully navigating the intrigues of the Gu family—Madam Gu treated her like dirt, Sean like a pet, and the faked-death Kevin saw her as a pawn. Everyone believed they were controlling the game, until the Gu family collapsed: Kevin went bankrupt with 30 billion in debt, Sean was imprisoned for murder, and Madam Gu went insane. Leila wiped away her last tear, stood on the rooftop overlooking the ruins—the Gu family throne, in the end, could only hold her alone.
